After that if we have spots available we will allow non-member handlers and dogs or chapter members may register a second dog. All dogs must be of a versatile breed, be staunch on point, but do not have to be steady.
The basic rules of conducting the challenge will be:
1. Four birds will be planted for each dog, except the first dog will have five.
2. The running order will be decided by random drawing.
3. Each dog will be allowed to hunt for twenty minutes or until he finds four birds.
4. Score will be determined by points awarded: for pointing, retrieving, shots used and time used.
5. Retrieval must be within one step of handler.
6. The handler can be the shooter or may designate a shooter.
7. The shooter must use a brake action shotgun with shot no larger the 7 ½.
Note: final and complete rules will be provided to entrants prior to event.

After the Chukar Challenge the grounds will be available for training. Participants, members, guests and interested persons are encouraged to
attend and to stay for dinner. This event is intended to be a fun social gathering. The area has many nice motels, many with pools, and also has great
shopping. You may also camp on the grounds. So, bring the kids and/or a friend for a weekend getaway!
